Cider. Eat fresh.
A tart and spicy apple from Arkansas around 1890. A good producer of medium sized apples whose skin progressively changes from striped orange to a deep, dark red if left on the tree into early winter. This is when they are best eaten fresh as the sugars are well developed.
Pollinate with Cox's Orange Pippin, Delicious, Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Somerset Red Streak (Cider).
Harvest from April onwards.
