A most spectacular Crab Apple with large, deep red wine coloured flowers during September and October. Very little, if any fruit.
The new spring leaves are purplish-bronze before maturing to rich, deep green in summer and finally turning golden yellow and burnt orange in autumn.
A fast growing and hardy tree very well suited to Canberra's extreme climate.
6 -7m tall x 3-4m wide in 20 years.
