Absolutely exquisite double red-black fragrant flowers to 15cm across with contrasting golden stamens during September and October. Finely divided mid-green leaves. New growth has a reddish tinge.
Very free flowering. Deciduous shrub approx. 1m x 1m with bright green divided leaves.
Morning sun, afternoon sun or full sun.
Free-draining, very rich well composted and manured soil with 1-2 cups of garden lime added at planting.
They love an alkaline soil and are easy to grow.
