What a great addition to the garden!
Flowers from early July until September. Generally grafted at 2m tall, the weeping Apricot may mound up to another ½ tall and up to 3m diameter. Very hardy and fairly fast growing. Well-suited to growing in the Canberra region and tolerant of most soils once established. Flowers start in the centre of the tree, on older twigs and branches and progressively open along the long and weeping branches creating a delightful “raindrop” effect. Mid-pink, sweetly scented, semi-double flowers, which the bees and nectar loving birds adore. Prune after flowering to promote plenty of new growth for the following year.
