The "Pink Flowering Dogwood" steals the show in late spring with a spectacular display of massed flower bracts that open dark pink, before fading to paler pink.
As a bonus, the leaves turn a dramatic dark maroon red in autumn before falling. A great small tree for cool climate gardens, plant it in woodland-like conditions in deep, well composted and well-drained acidic soil, sheltered from hot afternoon sun and wind.
Grows to approx. 3m x 3m in Canberra conditions.
