H.quercifolia Snowflake - a delightful form with double flowers.
A very hardy and strong growing variety requiring less water than most. A deciduous and upright shrub with large, felty-textured oak-leaf like foliage, flaking papery bark on older specimens and cone shaped clusters of flowers from late spring and well into late summer. Up to 2m tall and 1.5m wide. Morning sun – full shade. Leaves are green through spring and summer, turning rich russet tones in autumn.
