The Golden Chain Tree is a spectacular sight in November when it is laden with long golden, wisteria-like flowers.
A fantastic small, deciduous tree approx. 4m tall and 3m wide at 20 years. The leaves are bright green and turn butter yellow in autumn.
In the Canberra region, Laburnum performs best in morning sun and protected from hot summer wind. Well composted, fertile and free draining soil.
Laburnum 'Vossii' is a very free flowering variety with extra long flowers.
It is ideal for small gardens, courtyards or large pots and planter boxes. Vossii lends itself to being trained over an arch or garden frame to create a "Laburnum Walk".
Absolutely stunning!
Take great care transplanting new season trees as the root system is very delicate and will not be established until late November. Alternatively, you may leave it in the pot until then if preferred.
