The latest addition to our well known and proven Scotts Lawn Builder™ range, Premium will rapidly green your lawn in just a few days, thanks to its soluble nitrogen that is immediately available to grass roots

  • Acts quickly because its nitrogen is highly soluble and available to grasses immediately after application and watering in. It also contains boosted iron and magnesium levels to feed and green your lawn
  • Slow-release of nutrients eliminates waste through run-off and leaching and prevents burning
  • Traditional lawn foods release ('dump') most of their nutrients within a couple of weeks of application, causing a rapid surge in growth that quickly drops off again as the food supply diminishes. Scotts Lawn Builder™ uses patented time-release technology to ensure nutrients are released slowly and continuously over a three month period
  • Premium is phosphorus-free, which means it can be safely used anywhere in Australia without posing any risk to ground or surface water
  • Premium has a recommended application rate of just 16 grams per square metre, not the kilograms often associated with traditional lawn foods! One bag of Premium is equal to three or more bags of traditional fertiliser of the same weight
  • When used as directed, this product is safe to use around domestic pets and children. Check paws and feet for granules before allowing pets or children on to paved areas as staining may occur.

  • All lawn grasses including named varieties of buffalo, traditional couch, Santa Ana couch, kikuyu, bent, fescues and carpet grass, all grass substitutes such as dichondra (also known as pennywort or kidney weed), lippia, zoysia
  • All grass substitutes such as dichondra (also known as pennywort or kidney weed), lippia, zoysia
  • Use half of the suggested rate for summer application on cool-season grasses, e.g. Bent Grass.

  • Scotts Lawn Builder™ is not recommended for use on plants other than lawn grasses and lawn substitutes
  • Do not use on lawns less than 8 weeks old - from germination of seed or installation of instant turf
  • Do not use if the temperature is expected to exceed 30 degrees C - wait for a cool spell

    • Scotts Lawn Builder™is a slow-release fertiliser that provides continuous feeding over a three month period
    • Every granule contains Scotts patented time-release nitrogen
    • Nutrients are released at about the same rate that grass roots can take up the fertiliser so there is no wastage, no run-off to waterways or damaging surge growth

    How much will I need?

Premium has a recommended application rate of 16g/m2

To work out how much you will need to fertilise your lawn:

    1. Calculate the area of the lawn in square metres (multiply the length by the width)
    2. The area multiplied by the application rate will give the exact amount of Scotts Lawn Builder™ you need
    3. Use a set of scales to weigh it out and then add it to the spreader ready to apply - do not be tempted to add a 'bit extra for luck' because over-application may result in nitrogen burning

    How do I apply it?

    1. For best results ALWAYS use a Scotts spreader
    2. Check your model and make sure to set it correctly before you start (settings are also on the back label of the product)
    3. If you don't have a spreader, make sure you distribute the fertiliser evenly over the lawn - uneven applications may result in 'hot spot' burning where too much has landed in one spot

    Type Spreader Setting
    EvenGreen Drop Spreader 3
    EasyGreen Rotary Spreader 27
    HandyGreen Easy Handheld Spreader 4

    * Setting 4 on the Easy Handheld spreader applies half the recommended rate. If using the Easy HandHeld, move over the entire area in one direction at a slow, steady walking pace then repeat application in a perpendicular direction to give full, even coverage

    Dry Method

    • If water restrictions are in operation, apply Premium to the lawn without watering in
    • Scotts Lawn Builder™ is safe on the lawn until it next rains or the lawn needs watering when it has been applied evenly with a spreader and at the rate recommended on the bag
    • Premium is guaranteed to green the lawn within one week of the lawn receiving moisture

    Fast Method

    • Your lawn will be greener in two days with watering
    • For fast results apply to moist lawn, wait 24 hours and then water in thoroughly

    • For best results, feed your lawns three times a year - in early Spring, early Summer and Autumn
    • Avoid feeding lawns in cooler regions in Winter
    • The release of nutrients from granules is controlled by temperature
    • In Winter when soil temperatures are low and lawn growth is extremely slow in many areas, the granules will simply 'sit' there

IMPORTANT: This product, when wet, will cause iron stains. Be sure to sweep all granules off paths, coping, paving, driveways, shoes, etc immediately after use. Do not allow the granules to come into contact with these surfaces when they are wet

Store safely out of the reach of children and pets. This product contains iron which can be harmful to dogs' livers if eaten in quantity

SAFETY FIRST: Read the instructions on the product packaging before use and take particular note of any warnings or cautions on the label
