U.K 1770. Tried and true variety still very popular today. The tree is moderately vigorous and highly productive. Pale green fruit ripens to clear yellow. The flesh is creamy-white, firm, finely textured, tender and juicy with a very good, sweet flavour. Delicious.
Pollinate with Beurre Bosc, Comice, 20th Century, Winter Nelis.
Ripens February.
Hint: Pick fruit when green and store in the refrigerator 1-2 weeks until fully ripe.
