This beauty flowers quite early in the season (late September) and repeat flowers for a number of weeks making it quite a highlight in the garden or pot. This fast growing variety shows off large semi double yellow flowers highlighted with red flares towards the centre of the flower. The fragrant flowers are a real standout against the dark green foliage.
Itoh Peonies are the "impossible hybrid" - a cross between Tree Peonies and Herbaceous Peonies. They carry the best characteristics of both parents - Large flowers (from Tree Peony) standing upright and proud on strong stems (Herbaceous Peony). They generally flower a bit later than the Tree Peonies and a bit earlier than Herbaceous.
