Radicchio is an Italian salad ingredient related to chicory. It has a rich maroon colour, white veins and a sharp, peppery flavor that adds a wonderful bite to salads. High in Vitamins A, B1 and C so harvest, rinse and use straight away.

Plant in rich organic soil that is moist but well drained.
Use
Use in salads with lightly cooked vegetables such as mushrooms, asparagus, snow peas or meats including ham and bacon.
