The 'Butcher's Broom" is a very under-utilised garden shrub for morning sun to full, dry shade.
Low growing to approx. 1/2m tall and 80cm wide. Great for planting beneath trees, Camellias and Magnolias.
The leaves are thick, leathery and very dark green. The most unusual thing about this shrub are the flowers which emerge from the centre of each leaf!
Something quite different!
